Adult Education programs support learners at every stage, from basic literacy and English language acquisition to college and career preparation. Programs help learners build reading, writing, math, digital literacy and workplace readiness skills needed for employment, training, apprenticeships and continued education.

Adult Education programs can help learners:

Through Integrated Education and Training (IET), programs combine academic instruction with hands-on workforce training to help learners build relevant skills and move more quickly into in-demand careers.

To participate in Adult Education in Idaho, you must:

  • Be at least 16 years old
  • Not be enrolled in or required to be enrolled in a K-12 school

You must also meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Function below the 12th-grade level in reading, writing, math or English language skills
  • Not have a high school diploma or equivalent credential
