The Workforce Readiness Incentive (WRI) rewards secondary career technical education (CTE) programs for student achievement in workforce readiness.
Who is eligible
- Local education agencies with approved secondary pathway programs
- Programs funded through career technical centers aren’t eligible
How funding is determined
Funding is based on the number of students who:
- Pass the Technical Skills Assessment (TSA)
- Pass the Workplace Readiness Assessment
- Earn the required SkillStack® microcredentials by April 30
Programs must offer the TSA to qualify.
How funds can be used
- Retain CTE teachers
- Purchase industry-standard equipment
- Provide student workforce experiences
Important deadlines
- Expenditure reports are due June 30.
Unspent funds must be returned to the Idaho Division of Career Technical Education.
