What happens
You’ll earn an Advanced Occupational Specialist Certificate, a five-year renewable credential.
What you’ll need
Hold one of the following:
- Limited Occupational Specialist Certificate
- Standard Occupational Specialist Certificate
Then complete one of the following:
- A teacher preparation degree program
- 18 additional semester credits of approved teacher preparation coursework
Important
These credits are in addition to those required to move from a Limited Occupational Specialist Certificate to a Standard Occupational Specialist Certificate.
What to do
- Submit a Secondary Occupational Specialist Application Packet or Postsecondary Occupational Specialist Application Packet.
- Indicate that you’re applying for an Advanced Occupational Specialist Certificate.
- Include proof of completed coursework or degree.
