We’re grateful to Gov. Brad Little and the Idaho Legislature for their continued support of and investment in career technical education. CTE prepares Idahoans for the high skill, high demand careers our state depends on.
Last year, the Legislature invested $1.87 million in Idaho’s CTE students with one-time funding to help stabilize critical secondary CTE programs. This year’s budget submission includes a request to make that investment ongoing so schools can continue providing the materials and equipment students need for hands-on learning and preparing Idahoans to meet our state’s workforce needs.
Our administrator, Pete Risse, spoke with CBS2’s Joel Hroma about the funding request and the importance of investing in Idaho’s future workforce.
