Who can host an FST Training?

FST Trainings may be hosted by a fire agency.

How do I request an FST Training?

Please complete and submit an FST Course Request Form to request a training.

Do I have to be affiliated with a fire agency to participate in an FST training?

Yes, you must be affiliated with a fire agency to participate in an FST training. Some FST training events are open to participants from non-host agencies.

How do I access my FST training record?

To request your FST training or testing record, submit a Transcript Records Request.

What training props are available for request from FST?

How do I schedule a prop to support my FST Training?

To schedule a prop to support your FST training, please complete and submit both a Course Request Form and a Prop Request Form.

Can I request a prop without requesting am FST training?

Yes, you may request a prop to support your FST training. You must submit a Prop Request Form in addition to the course request, and the prop must be available in your region. Check the Prop Rotation Calendar for dates the props will be in your region.

How many days in advance must I request the FST training and/or training prop?

FST requires course requests and prop requests 45 days prior to the scheduled training. If your course does not require props or books, and you have an FST instructor already scheduled, FST can be flexible on the 45-day timeframe.

What qualifications are needed for operating training props?

  • Draeger: The instructor must have 1403 Live Fire Training Instructor and Draeger Train the Trainer qualifications.
  • 3-Story: The instructor must be an FST instructor of record.
  • 3-Story: The instructor must be an FST instructor of record.
  • Drive Sim: The instructor must have a Drive Simulator Train the Trainer qualification.
  • Extrication, Forcible Entry, Rope Rescue Trailers: The instructor must be an FST instructor of record.
  • Ice Rescue: The instructor must be FST Ice Rescue Train the Trainer.
  • Swift Water: The instructor must be FST Swift Water Train the Trainer.
