Receive career, personal and educational support to help you enroll in training, gain marketable skills and enter the workforce. Programs are available through Idaho’s technical colleges and help learners overcome barriers to education and employment.

Why it matters

Centers for New Directions (CNDs) help more Idahoans access education, training and employment opportunities. These programs build pathways to economic self-sufficiency while strengthening Idaho’s workforce and economy.

How it works

CNDs provide services designed to help learners succeed in education and employment.

Services may include:

  • Personal, career and educational counseling
  • Assessment and testing
  • Life skills training
  • Pre-employment and training preparation
  • Support services

Programs primarily serve single parents, displaced homemakers and other learners facing barriers to education and employment. They also support individuals pursuing nontraditional occupations.
