SkillStack® is Idaho’s microcredential platform. It verifies the skills learners demonstrate in the classroom and on the job.
Microcredentials are awarded for mastery of skills and competencies identified by industry and educators. Educators assess and validate those skills using common standards, and learners earn digital badges they can share with employers and colleges.
Microcredentials document mastery of specific skills. Digital badges verify those skills and include information about how they were earned. SkillStack badges meet the Open Badges v2.0 standard for verifiable digital credentials.
Why it matters
- Verifiable: Employers can confirm skills and the criteria used to earn them.
- Stackable: Skills build over time.
- Portable: Learners can share badges anywhere.
