Idaho’s curricular materials adoption process follows a six-year cycle aligned with Idaho Content Standards reviews. The Idaho State Board of Education approves content-area adoption guides to help ensure that materials meet state standards. Final selection is made by each local school district or charter school based on local policies.

For details about the current review cycle, including the adoption process, open educational resources and publisher information, visit the Idaho Department of Education’s curricular materials webpage.

The Idaho Department of Education accepts applications from educators who want to serve on review teams. Reviewers evaluate materials, provide feedback and help ensure alignment with state standards.
