The Workplace Readiness Assessment (WRA) measures students’ understanding of Idaho’s career readiness standards across personal, professional and technical skills. The assessment is required for Idaho career technical education (CTE) students.

Why it matters

The WRA helps ensure students graduate with the employability skills employers expect, including communication, professionalism and leadership.

Students can also demonstrate these skills to employers by earning a SkillStack® badge or microcredential.

Who should take the WRA

CTE capstone students and seniors enrolled in at least their second CTE course (grades 9-12) should take the assessment. This includes students enrolled across multiple CTE program areas.

How it works

The WRA measures student understanding of the Idaho Workplace Skills for Career Readiness Standards. These standards define the skills students need to succeed in the workplace and are integrated throughout CTE programs.
