What we do
We help Idahoans explore careers, develop practical skills, earn recognized credentials and prepare for continued education and employment.
Our work includes:
- Supporting CTE programs in middle schools, high schools and technical colleges
- Preparing and certifying CTE instructors
- Administering state and federal funding for eligible programs
- Establishing program standards and supporting continuous improvement
- Aligning education and training with Idaho’s workforce needs
- Supporting Adult Education, GED® services and workforce training
- Providing leadership development through career technical student organizations
- Delivering statewide Fire Service Training and certification
