BPA Spreads Their Wings

By Holly Connley May 9, 2017

During the week of May 10-14, five hundred Idaho business students will visit Orlando, Florida for the 2017 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference, with this year’s leadership theme, “Spread Your Wings.” These qualifying students competed at both regional and state-level conferences among 1500+ competitors in over 65 business-focused competitive events.

In Orlando this group of students will compete with likeminded business students across the nation while demonstrating their skills in public speaking, research, information management, marketing and accounting, just to name a few. Idaho students will also have the opportunity to participate leadership development sessions, industry tours, and hear from several nationally-recognized business leadership speakers.

Idaho BPA has both secondary and post-secondary students representing over 100 high school and college chapters throughout the state of Idaho. This active group of entrepreneurs are highly involved in their local and state communities with their national service project supporting Special Olympics. This year, the secondary BPA participants raised $376 during their state leadership conference for Special Olympics Idaho.
