Required Fingerprinting Pricing Changes – Please Read!

A new fee for fingerprinting will be starting July 1, 2018. The new amount will be $27. This is a reduction in fee from the current amount. If your application and check of $32 are received after July 1, State Department of Education (SDE) will be returning your entire packet. Please be aware of this new fee ($27) so that your application and certification are not held up by an incorrect amount on your check.

Important Message Regarding Transcripts! Please Read!

Please be advised that ALL initial and reinstatement applications require you to submit official college transcripts.  Unofficial transcripts are welcome for renewal applications. If we already have your transcripts on file, there is no need to request them again.  To submit official transcripts, request that transcripts be sent by the institution to certification@cte.idaho.gov. IDAPA rule now states, Individuals found to have intentionally altered transcripts used for verification who would have not otherwise met this renewal requirement will be investigated for violations of the Code of Ethics for Idaho Professional Educators, which may result in disciplinary action.

Important Professional Development Plan Information! Please Read!

For all certificate renewals 2019 and after, there has been a change in code regarding your Professional Development Plan (PDP). Three (3) of the credits must now be transcripted college credits.  For more information, please see the section below entitled Renewals.
